The Master’s Program in Molecular Technologies in Health is a transdisciplinary academic offering developed by Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Launched in 2021, this two-year full-time program integrates key elements from medicine, pharmacology, and biotechnology, addressing the growing demand for professionals trained at the intersection of molecular biology and healthcare innovation.

The program is designed to equip students with advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in molecular mechanisms of health and disease, biomedical diagnostics, and the design, development, and quality control of pharmaceutical and biotechnological products for personalized treatment. It provides comprehensive training in biomedical research methodology, bioinformatics, and laboratory practices aligned with current international scientific standards.

Admission Requirements

Eligible candidates include holders of:

  • a Bachelor’s degree,
  • an integrated higher education diploma,
  • a Master’s or equivalent university degree,
  • or a diploma obtained abroad recognized by the relevant body for qualification and diploma recognition under the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova.

Educational Objectives

The program aims to:

  • Deepen prior academic training in molecular biology, medical genetics, clinical biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, and pharmacotherapy.
  • Provide rigorous instruction in contemporary biomedical research techniques and bioinformatics.
  • Cultivate high-level practical skills for working in laboratories, regulatory agencies, and pharmaceutical or biotechnological companies.
  • Prepare graduates for multidisciplinary research and innovation in health sciences.

Upon completion, graduates will be able to:
